Three Tips To Stay The Course

It was about time for a bit of video; I so love this medium, but stink at any of the editing. So, you get me raw and in one take. I’m trying to figure out how to import this into iMovie on the Big Mac, but if I can’t do it in five minutes, then time to move on.

What’s the message today? Three tips to stay the course in two minutes. I’m sensing a bunch of animosity, uncertainty and doubt; this summer hello may put you back on course…I hope so! See what you think!

Just watched your awesome video on You Tube and loved it. Have some tips I'll offer for optimization there, but will send in email. All else...content, tone, HAIR, and message were #RockHot! Onward and upward, friend. So good to catch up this week. xoxo

@ShakirahDawud Waddya mean? You were riding a horse in Death Valley. I still am scratching my head to figure out what tumble weeds slapped me in the face on that one yesterday!

@Soulati | B2B Social Media Marketing Lol, I was just making fun of myself for a minute--nothing to do with you--because I had deliberately avoided answering the question you asked since I didn't have a pat answer (as you could see when I tried). Let me have that one, pretty please? I swear I'm watering!

Woah, I'm losing my mind...@lifefyre, can you help? @livefyre Christina Strickland made a comment here at 9:05:42 EDT, July 12 which shows up in email comments; however, is missing from comments on the blog. How can that be? When I hit "reply" from email, I come to this post and can't see her comment. Any help, please? Thanks!

Love this! I talk about this all the time. I call it "running your own race". It's so tempting to get caught up with what the people around you are doing, but we need to FOCUS on our own goals, our own strategies and our own brand if we want to be successful.

BTW - Love the video too! Funny - it's been forever since I've done video too and was just thinking I need to do that again. You've inspired me! :)

@lauraclick awesome!! It's so fun once I get my darting eyes to stay on the camera...I hate that aspect the most -- staring in that one spot, but it looks so much better! Thanks, Laura!

Dear Jayme of the spectacular hair, thank you for reminding me that employers will look at Twitter etc to see what I'm like and that they might even WANT to see what I'm like.

Thanks, Jayme. Your point about being yourself is so true and sometimes it gets buried. Your natural friendliness is a great example of getting your personal brand across. Also, the fact that you did not go into big production mode for video lets me know more about you. Keep on being you and love the hair!!

@John_Murphy Hi, John! This comment inspired my blog post of today, "Should Video Be Like A Nude Beach?" Thanks for that, and so many thanks, too, for coming over! Perhaps you'll visit on the next page to add your thoughts on au naturel production!! LOL!

Hey Jayme! Summer is definitely a wonky time, isn't it? I find it just plain distracting. ;) Fun to see you!

Was there a Winter Hello? What about a Spring Hello? If I missed them I need to go back and watch them. I hate when I am out of the loop.

Hello right back atcha. Summer in the social media world is always a bit wacky, but it is filled with lots of opportunity.

@TheJackB You're funny. Maybe the winter hello is on your blog and we can look at your back. Now is that dude on the video at your house you? Pray tell. How's opportunity by you?

@Soulati | B2B Social Media Marketing Crap, didn't think anybody would notice!

Seriously, time can be a factor... But there's nothing I enjoy more than engaging with my friends on the social web. It's where I learn and get inspired : )

xoxo

I appreciate the support. I know that a lot of people drop out before they really are about to hit it big. I feel that I have long periods of lulls and then a bunch of sudden activity. So I get a bit anxious and want to make radical changes. Truth is that it is a slow process to move up the ranks, but when you make it then you are there. I wrote kind of an epic manifesto last week, but wasn't sure if I should post it. Sounds like I should.
