There was a time when I kvetched and hollered about @ symbols in headlines of blogs. Now that Im a name dropper and want everyone on the sphere to know this post has video of the Kingpin himself, , founder of , I put a double whammy upstairs.
Call the headline police. Ill wait.
This post comes to you straight from Knoxville, Tenn., site of the now infamous #SoSlam or Social Slam as its known. When Im not having technical difficulties like this year, I can capture about 9 groovy unsuspecting peeps like I did last year (thats because I had an iPhone 4S in hand).
Triberr is About Bloggers
Dino loves to talk about Gutenberg, founder of the printing press. Maybe he believes hes a kindred spirit you know how Johann changed the world as they knew it with his innovative creativity and launched the world of print journos? Well, I hasten a guess that Dino is bellying up to the bar to tip one with Johann in re his own creativity in creating a platform for bloggers by bloggers. Am I right, Dino?
Ever had Triberr go down (like it did recently) and did you notice what happened to your blog shares? Yep; nothing. Thats right; weve become spoiled with all the cool new gizmos and gadgets and features Triberr is creating for we bloggers. And, others are giving the Triberr team grief for pushing the envelope (see, that’s printed, too).
Without further silly ado let me introduce Dino Dogan one of social bloggings great up and comers.

The big D. I can’t wait to meet Dino in person and dig into some conversation : )
Triberr is certainly shaking things up in the blogoshere… It’s great to part of making history with other awesome bloggers!
Cheers, Jayme!
P.S. I did get your other message… just waiting for the right response; tired of, “Coming soon.” I just want to send you a link already. I know how Gini and Sharon felt through their product launches; something new always popping up 😮

Mark_Harai Dino is a #RockHot for sure, Mark. At conferences you never have the opportunity to do in-depth chat; it’s on the fly…but the scuttle On The Street and off was that he was taking grief on the ‘sphere for shaking things up.
I see it plainly…reblog, comments on the Triberr platform instead of on blogs, etc. It’s pushing the envelope huge.
As for your P.S., I’m actually more relieved to hear you say this b/c I knew there was no way you’d have this thing ready when you thought…sorry; it’s not about your lack of intent or ability; it’s all about the tech. I know this to be true! Your time up front will benefit you later, Friend. No one is pressuring you out here; so chillax already.

Great interview Jayme and Dino! Not sure I’m maximizing my triberr opportunities, and like you Jayme, probably belong to too many tribes. Need to learn how to more effectively and selectively get through the stream because even with the filter feature, I’m still not sure I’m seeing the posts I want to see. Cheers! Kaarina
Soulati | B2B Social Media Marketing says
KDillabough It took me weeks to weed out what I didn’t want to see, Kaarina. When I finally did, and paid attention to the bloggers, I can say my stream is rich with content I can learn from. There are many amazing bloggers who are not right here in our engaged community (hard to think, right?), and I seem to be bookmarking more and more to get there…uhmm, and rarely can. Sigh.
KDillabough says
Soulati | B2B Social Media Marketing Can you share some tips on how you “weeded out” what you didn’t want to see? As I said, I tried using the “Sorting” feature, but because you get assigned to only one tribe in the stream, it’s actually not accurate. For example, my posts are never seen in a particular tribe I belong to, so someone said that unless they scroll through a much larger tribe, they don’t see my posts, and consequently don’t share all of them, although they want to.
I often feel like the only way to get an accurate picture of the posts is to go through the entire stream, which is far too time-consuming I find.
Thoughts? Tips? What’s working best for you? K
Soulati | B2B Social Media Marketing says
KDillabough Soulati | B2B Social Media Marketing I wish I could. The only way is to go through the whole stream. You’ll know when to mute people writing about what’s for dinner and Halloween costumes. The people who are writing so out of your own business confines and have little to share with your community is how I determined whether to mute. The folks who put one word in a headline; the folks with no excerpt. The folks writing fantasy and sci fi, etc. For me, while I respect what they’re writing, it has no merit for those I engage with. If you are steady with it, you can eventually turn down the volume and quantity.

KDillabough We’ve been wanting to build the Optimize button for a long time now, we keep getting distracted. But we’ll build it soon, in the meantime, if a bloggers writes content thats not suited for your audience, and is not sharing your stuff, thats a good candidate for removal.
KDillabough says
dinodogan Soulati | B2B Social Media Marketing OK, stupid question of the day: how do I mute or “remove” that person from my stream?
dinodogan says
KDillabough dinodogan Soulati | B2B Social Media Marketing
When you hover over a post, the author box pops open on the right hand side. There is a mute button there, click it and boom. They’re gone form your stream.
If however you end up in a tribe where majority of people are unsuitable, leave that tribe. You may also consider taking few good eggs with you and starting your own tribe.
KDillabough says
dinodogan Soulati | B2B Social Media Marketing Thanks Dino…doh! I should have figured that out for myself, haha! I do have a tribe allocated to me from day 1 (2 years ago!) entitled “segment of dark” that I’ve never done anything with, mainly because of the name you guys gave me…Can I change the name or should I just close that tribe and start a new one (that’s a good suggestion about taking a few good eggs and starting a new tribe:). I closed the other 2 tribes you and Dan gave me because they too had wild ‘n wacky names.
So…do I close segment of dark and start a brand new tribe?
dinodogan says
KDillabough dinodogan Soulati | B2B Social Media Marketing Go into the tribe and click on Settings to change the name.
Congrats on starting with us so long ago…we used to use World of Warcraft guild names to generate tribe names….but yes, they can be changed 🙂
KDillabough says
dinodogan Soulati | B2B Social Media Marketing Thx Dino. Not being a World of Warcraft’er, I always wondered where those original names came from, haha!

dinodogan KDillabough Soulati | B2B Social Media Marketing I still have 2 of those funny tribe names sitting around, too!

Every time he said Gutenberg, I thought of Steve. I couldn’t help it and I’m sorry, Dino. But I <3-ed meeting you in person.

KristenDaukas Can I name drop and say that Steve Guttenberg lives across the street from family friends. Next time my folks go by I am going to tell them to mention Dino’s name, just because. 😉

Jayme! Hands down, forever more… Dino Dogan is one of the most PASSIONATE humans I have ever listened to. This was perfect, thank YOU.
(Can you tell he is one of my personal fav’s? LOL)
I WILL get Dino and my Dad TOGETHER, in the flesh, someday. LOL, want to hear how serious I am? We are going to build a “meeting hall” log building out here, so we can have a Triberr meet-up in CHISANA! (no shit) Yeah, yeah, lots of others too… but still! The christening will be done by Triberr.
dinodogan says
AlaskaChickBlog That sounds awesome. We are all about Triberr retreats, and Alaskan retreat sounds like a great time 🙂
AlaskaChickBlog says
dinodogan LOL! I never quit, Dino. Dad will build my building just to get me to shut up! You really need to chat with him…I think you guys are meant to meet. (No joke, I have always thought that.)
We have the wireless, we have the ranch wired for sound, so to speak. We have the baddest system available the big HughsNet… lined up to come in and jack up the power (AND the bandwidth) for big groups to use.
And of course, we just got to get you out into the wilderness.

Now, I’m gonna listen to that again to see what all the fuss is about. Heh.
